Dear Stars Families

First off, I'd like to introduce myself.  My name is Amy Bartlett and I am the Blue Team Volunteer Coordinator this year.  I have 4 boys, 3 of whom swim Blue Stars, they are 10, 8 & 6 years old.  I also have a 3yo who will be tagging along with me until he is old enough to swim.

I have 2 great Co-Coordinators working with me this year, Elyse Derian & Michelle Flores.  You will receive Volunteer related communications from any of the 3 of us this season via the [email protected] address.  

We are getting a lot of questions regarding Volunteer Signups for the 1st Meet.  Signups will open in Swimtopia at 9PM the Sunday BEFORE our scheduled meet.  Please note that this is different from Red Team, which opens 2 weeks prior.  

Our first meet is Saturday, May 18th, and volunteer signups will open Sunday, May 12th at 9:00 PM. 

If you are a new Swim Family, you can get an idea of the Volunteer roles, point allocations, etc by going into a "Mock Signup" in Swimtopia.  Go to the "Previous Events" link in your Calendar, and click on the "New Family Orientation Volunteer Practice Signups" which coincided with the New Family Orientation Meeting on April 21st.  In the "Work Shifts" section, there is a link to "Job Signups".  Click through and familiarize yourself with the Job Signup steps and the types of jobs available.  This will save you 2-3 minutes on Sunday, May 12, which might help you get the job you are seeking.  Some fill up fast, so signing in right at 9PM is often important.
